Welcome Krista Dixon & Tyler Tukes to the City of Dreams Board of Directors
At City of Dreams, our work has always been powered by community - mentors who show up consistently, partners who invest in possibility, and leaders who believe deeply in the potential of young people.
Today, we are proud to announce the addition of two extraordinary leaders to our Board of Directors: Krista Dixon of Hudson Pacific Properties and Tyler Tukes, our first Youth Board Member.
Krista Dixon: Investing in Space, Place, and Possibility
Krista’s leadership with City of Dreams began long before her board appointment. Over the past several years, she has been an active partner in our Garden Program, bringing volunteer teams into our space and helping transform our physical environment in meaningful ways.
Through her leadership and coordination:
Our community space was revitalized with fresh paint, creating a brighter and more welcoming environment for youth.
Our garden infrastructure was enhanced to better support hands-on learning and engagement.
A new storage shed was secured, significantly expanding our organizational capacity and functionality.
Securing additional funding to power our programs
These improvements are more than cosmetic. They directly impact how young people experience our programs — providing a space that communicates care, pride, and possibility.
Krista brings not only corporate leadership experience from Hudson Pacific Properties, but also a clear understanding that environments shape outcomes. Her belief in investing in community spaces aligns powerfully with our Earn to Learn Garden Program and our broader commitment to holistic youth development.

Her commitment to as a peer mentor and leader for Project Zoe is supports our vision of ending generational poverty through consistent mentorship, exposure, workforce development, and youth leadership.
Not only is she a Youth Leader, she is an Entrepreneur and Hair Stylist, also known as The Lace Girly. From slaying wigs to community work, she is a woman paving her way to success.
Board leadership is not simply about oversight — it is about stewardship. It is about helping guide an organization that now impacts dozens of families annually and has served hundreds of youth over the past two decades.
As City of Dreams celebrates over 20 years of impact, we recognize that sustainable growth requires leaders who are both visionary and grounded in service.
Krista and Tyler represent exactly that.
Their addition to our Board of Directors strengthens our governance, expands our community relationships, and positions us for the next phase of impact in San Francisco’s public housing communities.
We are honored to welcome them — and excited for what we will build together.
