City of Dreams serves youth ages 8 and up living in San Francisco’s low-income and public housing communities. Established in 2004, we have provided enrichment opportunities for at-risk youth in the city’s underserved communities for nearly 15 years.
We believe that a variety of experiential events enhance the learning process and allow youth to develop the skills needed to achieve their goals. We also understand that not every child develops in the same way or with the same methods. And we empathize with the kids who may not have ready access to many opportunities and resources to aid in their development. Our curriculum provides just enough structure but leaves room for kids to be kids while learning how to be their best selves.
Since our inception in 2004, we have reached thousands of young people and family members. Now more than ever, the at-risk youth of San Francisco need our support.
We are a registered 501c3 organization and our EIN is 20-0719899.
“A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself.” — Oprah Winfrey
The City of Dreams mission is to help the youth living in San Francisco’s low-income housing communities build brighter futures through mentorship and youth development.
We are guided by a bold vision: To end the generational cycle of poverty in our city’s most challenged neighborhoods.
