City of Dreams has partnered with Laughing Monk Brewery who will be sponsoring our Urban Agriculture Education work at the Oakdale Community Center and Farm, the Community Garden at Huli Huli Restaurant, and the Roots Garden at Mendel Plaza.  This sponsorship will be providing the funding needed to expand our after school garden instruction to 3 days per week and to provide garden education to the youth at Old Skool Cafe who will be learning to raise vegetables to be used directly in the Old Skool Cafe kitchen.

By expanding our Urban Agriculture Education programming, we are able to grow produce for our own youth as well as provide produce to other local restaurants such as Butchertown Gourmet, who uses our produce in their sandwiches, pizzas, and salads. Butchertown Gourmet, in turn, provides us with low-cost, healthy, organic, and locally sourced meals for our Saturday field trips.

We have also been able to grow produce that Laughing Monk Brewery is using as ingredients in its craft beers, such as the new Belgian Golden Ale, Bayview Gold made with chamomile grown in our community gardens.
